Recently, the Rivian R1T electric pickup truck has also been reported again, and it may not be too long to meet the public. According to previous reports, the parameters of the Rivian R1T can be said to be very attractive, with a maximum horsepower of 750 horsepower, an acceleration from 0 to 100 kilometers in only 3 seconds, and a cruising range of 640 kilometers. In addition, the car is equipped with four electric motors, arranged on each tire, and has an independent gearbox to cope with a variety of extreme road surfaces. As a reliable pickup, the R1T has a wading depth of 0.9 meters and a maximum towing capacity of 5 tons. Although this data is far from the comparison, the four-motor setting of the Rivian R1T electric pickup is more powerful than Tesla's dual-motor setting.

Rivian is not a new car company in the typical sense. It is an American electric car startup that officially entered the public eye last year. Founded in 2009, the company had early plans to launch an affordable sports car. Since 2011, Rivian will focus on the development of self-driving pure electric vehicles. The R1T is fully equipped with four permanent magnet motor all-wheel drives. Except for the lowest configuration, the output power of the other two is much higher than the "performance enhanced version" of the Raptor. In addition, the four-motor all-wheel drive can achieve much more precise power output and handling response than the engine. The R1T's front double-wishbone rear multi-link suspension supports dynamic roll control and adaptive damping, and the height-adjustable active air suspension adjusts its ground clearance according to road conditions.

In addition to the 6 USB ports on the whole car, the R1T also has 3 110V power ports with a power of more than 400W. The flagship version has a large battery of up to 180 kWh. It is not a problem to cool drinks in outdoor camping, or use a small microwave oven to heat food.
The R1T lays the massive battery pack completely flat on the chassis, and even the motor, suspension, braking system and cooling system are all exaggeratedly located below the tops of the wheels. The advantages of this design are obvious: the R1T greatly reduces the center of gravity compared to fuel pickups, and all models need to lower the center of gravity, which can reduce the probability of rollover accidents during driving, but pickups are especially needed. Because pickup trucks need to deal with the challenges of driving safety due to uneven mountain road conditions in off-road scenarios.

Rivian's statement is that the center of gravity of the R1T is comparable to that of a gasoline sports car. Although it is not so exaggerated, there is no doubt about the low center of gravity relative to the rolling class of fuel pickups. The lower center of gravity means it can enter more steeper road conditions, and Rivian said that the development stage of the R1T has carried out a very extensive road test of mountain and off-road scenes, and has been specially tuned for off-road roads.

Speaking of passive safety, the R1T is equipped with a complete set of sensors including ultrasonic sensors, cameras, millimeter-wave radar and lidar, supporting L3-level hands-off autonomous driving technology.
The R1T electric truck's huge battery pack can provide more than 400 miles (644 kilometers) of range (with DC fast charging, it can add 322 kilometers in 30 minutes). Four 147kW electric motors deliver 3500Nm of torque to ground at each wheel for a combined output of 14000Nm and 800 horsepower.
